Objective:The paper is to report the development of an optic-fiber sensing technology method to analyze tablets and capsules rapidly, a new method is explored to identify the authenticity of drugs using the similarity between the sample map and the standard pattern by full ultraviolet spectrum.Methods:In this optic-fiber sensing system, the light from source delivering to probe canbe dipped into simple-handling sample solution, absorbed by the solution and reflected to the optic-fiber anddetected in the detection system at last. Then the drug content can be shown in the screen from the ultravioletabsorption spectra and the consistency between that obtained by this method and that in China Pharmacopoeia can be compared.Using correlation coefficients and similarity system theory method to calculate between the sample map and the standard pattern.Overlapping UV-Vis spectra of the two components in compound Sulfamethoxazole tablets can be obtained with optic-fiber sensing and it is compared similarity between the standard pattern of Sulfamethoxazole in order to identify drug authenticity.The study of method is include:linearity experiment, accuracy experiment, recovery rate experiment ect.ResuIt: The study has built 8 methods in the tablet rapid analysis and one method in the capsule rapid analysis using optic-fiber sensing technologies and the UV-VIS similarityand it can be obtained UV-VIS absorption spectra and drug content the optic-fiber sensing drug fast inspection device can implement rapidly test Sulfamethoxazole tablets through the similarity system theory method and it can identify drug. The determination results obtained by this method had no significant difference compared with the method in Ch.P(P>0.05)Conclusion:Rapid analysis tablets and capsules with optic-fiber can achieve the rapid drug test;and the similarity as the data analysis can be a parameter to identify the authenticity of drugs.
