Methods:Between January 2009 and october 2010,11 patients with OBPP affiliated with elbow residual(forearm pronate abnormity) and dislocation of capitulum radius was treated by de-rotation osteotomy of ulnar and radial bone, All patients were followed up from 5 to 21 months (mean,10 months). After the operation the improving of the pronate position angle and the consciousness function of the forearm is used as the evaluation criterion. Results:There was incision exfiltration in 2 cases of 11,in this group, incisions of both 2 patients were healed after antibiotic treatment and changing the dressings, take out stitches were taken out two weeks after the surgery.Clinical healing time of the fracture was 6-10 weeks. All patients were followed up from 5 to 21 months (mean,10 months). After the operation the forearms of all patients were occupied pronate 30°position, the shape of the forearm and the consciousness function of the hand were all improved manifestedly. The dependents and the patients were all satisfied.Followed X-rays after surgry showed great healing of the fracture.Conclusion:De-rotation ostectomy of ulnar and radial bone in the treatment of obstetric brachial plexus palsy (OBPP) affiliated with elbow residual(forearm pronate abnormity),has reliable therapeutic effect. |
