Objective: To analyze the changes and clinical significance in multiple myeloma, by contrast different of C-reactive protein, hemoglobin and erythrocyte sedimentation rate during the international staging system, and C-reactive protein, hemoglobin, erythrocyte sedimentation rate with myeloma cell proportion,β2-microglobulin level for correlation analysis.Method: Thirty previously untreated MM patients which had complete clinical records treated in the people'hospital of Qinghai province department of hematology between 2006 and 2010 were include in the study. The multiple myeloma patients were classified into three guoups according to international staging system. Thirty Age,sex, hemoglobin level similar megaloblastic anemia patients as the observation group.Different international staging system levels of C-reactive protein, hemoglobin and erythrocyte sedimentation rate use the single factor analysis. The compareration of C-reactive protein and erythrocyte sedimentation rate in hemoglobin level no statistics of multiple myeloma group and megaloblastic anemia group use two samples of the t inspection. No complications and complications set of cases in the multiple myeloma group, the different levels compareration of C-reactive protein, hemoglobin, erythrocyte sedimentation rate andβ2-microglobulin use two samples of the t inspection. The correlation analysis of C-reactive protein, hemoglobin, erythrocyte sedimentation rate with myeloma cell proportion use Spearman correlation, withβ2-microglobulin level use Pearson correlation.Resulets: The levels of C-reactive protein, hemoglobin and erythrocyte sedimentation rate have statistical differences in the international staging system stageⅢpatients than in the international staging system stageⅠ,Ⅱp atients(P<0.05).However,no significant difference was found between international staging system stageⅡpatients and international staging system stageⅠp atients. The levels of C-reactive protein, erythrocyte sedimentation rate were significant higher in the MM patients than in the observation group. The correlation was shown between C-reactive protein, hemoglobin, erythrocyte sedimentation rate and myeloma cell proportion,β2-microglobulin level have a definite correlation .Conclusion: The levels of C-reactive protein, hemoglobin and erythrocyte sedimentation rate is closely associated with the development of multiple myeloma.C-reactive protein and hemoglobin are relatively sensitive response to disease than erythrocyte sedimentation rate. It has a clear clinical implications in observe the patient's condition for progress and the prognosis.
