| This paper begins with introducing the origin and the development of Clinical Pathways both home and abroad, and also analyze the situations that with the establishment of digital hospitals and popularity of using (EMR) Electronic Medical Records the paper-based Clinical Pathways could not meet the needs in a digital hospital. How to computerize the Clinical Pathways has been increasingly becoming a hot research field and a urgent problem.In this study, both ontology and semantic technology for SWRL Clinical Pathways Modeling:1. To establish the clinical domain knowledge base path. Ontology as a tool for knowledge-sharing deal in artificial intelligence, computational linguistics, database theory, and the areas of Semantic Web access to a wide range of research and application. We analyzed content and structure of 80 Clinical Pathways, using the method of knowledge extraction and ontology to model knowledge in these fields, which not only describes the explicit knowledge, tacit knowledge also formalized a lot to make this model a complete domain knowledge base.2. The establishment of the rule base of Clinical Pathway in the field. Reasoning based on OWL language SWRL implementation of ClinicaLPathway described in a series of rules. Since SWRL rules and ontology-based domain knowledge base with seamless bonding characteristics, so the rules from the rule base is very quick to call.In this article, we utilize the EMR as the platform and Clinical Pathways model to design and implement the computerization of electronic Clinical Pathways. Highly modular electronic medical record system that covers most of the Clinical Pathways model in the terminology and concepts involved, our work provides a great help to reduce the large workload. For terms and concepts not covered, provides a Clinical Pathway to interact with the electronic medical record process, through the analysis of these terms and concepts, electronic medical records system, also some of the sound.
