Aims:In this study,we were aimed at analyzing the relationship between the image features and the changes of coronary blood flow velocity in patients with coronary artery diffuse ectasia,to understand impact on myocardial ischemia. Methods:The patients were divided into Three groups by coronary angiography:coronary artery diffuse ectasic(A group),Simple coronary artery stenosis(B group)and normal coronary artery(C group). General information, risk factors and impact on myocardial ischemia were compared in three groups; Using of quantitative coronary arteriography (QCA) to analyze the expansion of coronary artery and to evaluate the coronary artery blood flow velocity and blood flow by corrected TIMI frame count (CTFC) et al method, and evaluate their relationship and significance.between each other. Results:coronary artery diffuse ectasia occured mainly in the patients with higher risk factors. The frequency of arterial involvement was right coronary artery (RCA).CTFC of patients with CAE was significantly higher than the control group,This may suggest that coronary blood flow velocity is decreased in patients with Coronary artery diffuse ectasia. When lumen Dilation to 1.5-2.0 times, there were a positive correction between the average diameter and lumen Length of coronary artery diffuse ectasic (R=0.667,P<0.05). When lumen Dilation to 1.5-2.0 times, it is a positive correlation between maximum lumen diameter and CTFC (r=0.704,p<0.05);Coronary blood flow quantity with expention 1.5-2.0 times is decreased, than the expension more than 2 times, and impact on myocardial ischemia is decreased. Conclusion:Coronary artery diffuse ectasia is a disease of structural lesions underlying more risk factors. with expanding lumen diameter, coronary blood flow slowed down. This may be important factors to myocardial ischemia.
