Shiweiyiyuan Granule belongs to Hospital preparations of Xiyuan Hospital of China Academy of TCM for chemotherapy side effects.The first part of the paper is concerning Randomized controlled trials in individual patient for Postchemotherapy Bone Marrow Suppression by Shiweiyiyuan Granule. The second part studies the application of Randomized Controlled Trial in Individual Patient in clinical research about TCM for tumor according to these clinical trials.â… :Randomized Controlled Trials in Individual Patient for Postchemotherapy Bone Marrow Suppression by Shiweiyiyuan Granule[Objective] To verify the efficacy of Shiweiyiyuan Granule in treating the postchemotherapy bone marrow suppression. [Methods] To observe the changes of white blood cell, granulocyte, platelet and hemoglobin during the process of chemotherapy by randomized controlled trial in individual patient, and then make statistical analysis. [Results] Shiweiyiyuan Granule can preserve white blood cell, neutrophilic granulocyte,and platelets,while no significant change in hemoglobin.[Conclusion] Shiweiyiyuan Granule has clinical efficacy on the treatment for postchemotherapy bone marrow suppression.â…¡:The Application of Single Case Randomized Controlled Trials in Chinese Medicine Therapy of Cancer[Objective] To study the application of randomized controlled trial in individual patient in clinical research about TCM for tumor. [Methods] According to randomized controlled trials in individual patient for bone marrow suppression by Shiweiyiyuan Granule, we study the rationality and feasibility of randomized controlled trial in individual patient. [Results] We have finished 10 randomized controlled trials in individual patient for postchemotherapy bone marrow suppression by Shiweiyiyuan Granule successfully, but the high incidence in false negative of its findings and the limitation of its conclusion in application lead to further study.[Conclusion] Randomized controlled trial in individual patient in clinical research about TCM for tumor is rational and feasible,and it is worthwhile to launch further study in this field.
