Objective: To analysis the compilicated factors and effect of EEG monitoring duiring carotid endarterectomy. Methods: The clinical features in 48cases were studied retrospectively by SPSS17.0 in order to analyze the effect of different monitoring methods, and the different compilicated factors.Result: In these 48 cases(46 patients) ,28 cases monitoring by EEG, was EEG group, 8 were female(7 patients), 20 were male(19 patients), from 43 to 78 year, average 61.27year, 13 less than 62 year,15 older than 62 year ,12were unilateral straitness, 16 were both stranitness, 20 have preoperational neural syndrom, 8 without; all of these 28 cases did`t have the new postoperation neural syndrom.5 cases with irregulary prooperational changes; 2 cases had blood pressure changes during operation; inoperational EEG changes in 2 caes; group MSE had 20 cases, 5 have the MSE changes during operations,1 of it had to stop the operation because of fidget, 15 had no MSE changes; 1 with the new postoperational neural syndrom, 19cases without. Age and sex were unsignificantly correlated with EEG monitoring changes (p>0.05), preoperation examinations had no significantly correlation with EEG monitoring changes (p>0.05). Blood pressure had significantly correlation with EEG monitoring chages(p<0.05), there wasn`t obvious correlation between introperation medicine used with EEG changes during operation, and there wasn`t significantly correlation between the two groups (p>0.05). Conclusion: Blood pressure change is the compilicated factors of EEG monitoring changes .The age and sex are not the compilicated factors of EEG monitoring changes. There isn`t obvious correlation between preoperational examination. It didn`t show obvious EEG monitoring changes correlated with medicine used during operation. There isn`t meaningful difference between EEG monitoring only and MSE monitoring only. EEG monitoring can clue the stamina of brain, to direct the operation.
