Objective: To investigate the expressions of focal adhesion kinase(FAK),β-catenin, and Ezrin in the endometrial carcinoma and their clinical significance. Methods: SP immunohistochemical method was used to detect the expressions of FAK,β-catenin, and Ezrin in 63 cases of endometrial carcinoma , 26 cases of complex and atypical hyperplasia, 24 cases of simple hyperplasia and 30 cases of normal endometrium. The associations were analyzed between the expressions of FAK,β-catenin, and Ezrin and clinical parameters(age, pathological classification, differentiation, depth of myometrium invasion, metastasis of lymph node and periphery tissues, and FIGO stage). Results: In endometrial carcinoma , complex and atypical hyperplasia, simple hyperplasia and normal endometrium the positive rates of FAK was 84.13%,57.69%,29.17% and 16.67% , the positive rates ofβ-catenin were 63.49%,34.62%,25.00%,and 13.33%, and the positive rates of Ezrin were 68.25%,53.85%,37.50%,and 23.33% respectively. The expressions of FAK were differennt in various age, pathological classification and depth of myometrium invasion(P<0.05), and there were no statistical differences in differennt differentiation, metastasis of lymph node and periphery tissues and FIGO stage(P>0.05). The expressions ofβ-catenin were different in various pathological classification, differentiation , depth of myometrium invasion, metastasis of lymph node and periphery tissues , and FIGO stage(P<0.05), and there was no statistical difference in patients of different age(P>0.05). The expressions of Ezrin were different in various pathological classification, differentiation , depth of myometrium invasion, metastasis of lymph node and periphery tissues , and FIGO stage(P<0.05), and there was no statistical difference in patients of different age(P>0.05). Conclusion: FAK,β-catenin, and Ezrin play important roles in the development and progression of endometrial carcinoma, and they can prognosticate invasion and metastasis and can be used as prognostic indicators of endometrial carcinoma .
