Thymosin Al Increases The Synthesis Of Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor In Human Umbilical Vein Vessel Endothelial Cells Cultured In Vitro And Promotes Its Proliferation

Objective To investegate the effects of Thymosinα1 on the proliferation and the synthesis of vascular endothelial growth factor of human umbilical veinssel endothelial cells.Methods HUVECs had been cultured in vitro.The proliferation of HUVECs were measured with MTT,cell cycle was tested with flow cytometry and the synthesis of vascular endothelial growth factor in human umbilical vein endothelial cells was detected with Western blot.Results (1)Thymosin al could promote the proliferation of human vein vessel endothelial cells.(2)With the flow cytometry,the number of cells in S-phase and the percentage of cells in G2/G1 phase increased.(3)Thymosin al could obviously promote the synthesis of vascular endonthelial growth factor.Conclusion Thymosin al could promote the proliferation of HUVECs and increase the synthesis of the vascular endothelial growth factor in HUVECs,and could have the effect of increasing angiogenesis in the process of the wound tissue.
