The material cause for died of wounds is out-of-controled hematorrhea both when war and peace. Conventional therapy of tourniquet and pressure dressing have some defects, for example: It has no effective effect of hemostasis and may cause serious complications like avascular necrosis of limbs and trunk. Therefore it does not adapt to the condition of healing the massive wounded personnel, so it should not be the first choice in such kind of situation. It will be of great urgency to find a safe,fast and effective hemostasis for researchers in the world.In recent years, the reports of hemostasis focus on new hemostatic materials of biology such as fibronection hemostatic materials, collagen hemostatic materials and chitosan hemostatic etc. But these hemostatics have some defects. They have no operative hemostatic effects, and the contagions of some diseases make it worse. Alam HB and his colleagues discovered the hemostatic effect of zeolite by means of the experiment of animals. They found out that the zeolite can stop bleeding promptly, which can reduce mortality significantly. So they concluded that zeolite is the best material for hemostasis. In 2008, Francis X. Hursey discovered that zeolite has this kind of effect then they applied for a patent at the first place. However, zeolite still has some defects as an hemostatic, for instance:First,.zeolite could discharge more heat of hydration, and it will increase the temperature of a wound's surface, which may cause a heat injury, even a superficial burn sometimes. Second, the blood clot of zeolite is so fragile that can lead to the secondary hemorrhage when the clot is breaking carelessly. For these reasons, Pure Food and Drug Administration of America stipulated that zeolite can not be used as the heomstatic material unless there isn't any choice.The resource of zeolite is wealthy in our country. But there is no report of zeolite hemostasis neither at home nor abroad. In view of this , we will research one kind of hemostasis which is using zeolite as the main component. Firstly, we filtrate the best kind of zeolite in order to has the best effect of hemostasis. At the same time we filtrate the best hardener and analgetic by zoopery. In the end we comfirmed the last ratio by way of zoopery and germiculture. This is a new hemostatic agent against the war wound.The new hemostatic agent against the war wound has more characteristic. 1. It has the best effect of hemostasis. 2. Heat of hydration of the hemostatic is receded by ionic exchanging which can reduce the heat injury in local organization, even no injury. At the same time, the exchanged ionic in zeolite has the ability of antibiosis, then it will reduce the infection probability. 3. It will reduce the probability of secondary hemorrhage since the hardener was being admixed in the hemostatic.4. The new hemostatic agent against the war wound can reduce patients suffering since the acetanilide was be admixed.There are no report about the biocompatibility research of the hemostatic agent against the war wound at home and abroad. In this study, we will evaluate the biosafety of new type emergency hemostatic agents for war wounds. Methods: According to the Chinese biosafety evaluation standards on medical devices and biological tests, 1. L929 cells were chosen and its cytotoxicity were assessed by MTT test, direct contacting with the culture, flow cytometry, scanning electron microscopy and other methods; 2. To evaluate the blood compatibility by hemolysis test; To assess the genetic toxicity by using of cell micronucleus test; To estimate the systemic toxicity by using the methods of acute systemic toxicity test, pyrogen test and skin;3.Using the muscle implantation test to evaluate the effect of remained hemostatic for body . Results: 1. The hemostatic agents in the war wound has no cytotoxicity, and has a fine biocompatibility in condition of directly cultured by l929 cell; 2. There is no negative effect such as hemolysis or genetic toxicity, acute systemic toxicity, pyrogenic effect, allergic reaction in skin. 3.It can cause local chronic inflammatory response long after muscle implantation. Conclusion: This new hemostatic agent for emergent battle injuries has a high quality of biosafety and it is a safe, instant, efficient and multi-functional hemostatic.
