Abstract/Summary:
Purpose The study of aberration and modulation transfer function with different aspheric intraocular lens implantation after Cataract surgery.Meathod Select 120 patients 120 eyes that had cataract sugery with IOL implantation, Age 50-79 years old, according to IOL implantation Different types,they were divided into groups of aspheric and spherical group,and the aspheric group were divided into Tecnis group, AcrysofIQ group, ADAPT-AO group, and the spherical group wad AR40e group,2 months after the surgury, uncorrected visual acuity, best corrected visual acuity(BCVA),the SA of the cornea, the SA of the intenal optics, the SA of the eye,the t-HA,the coma of the cornea,the coma of the internal optics, the corna of tha eye and the MTF were measured by iTrace when the aperture was 3mm and 5mm.Result when the aperture was 3mm, the differences of the SA of internal optics and the t-HA between the Tecnis group and the AD APT-AO group were statistically significant.the differences of the tHA between the Acrysof IQ group and AD APT-AO group,and between the Acrysof IQ group and AR40e group were statistically significant, the differences of the coma of the internal optics and the coma of the eye among the 4 groups were not statistically significant.when the aperture was 5mm,the SA of the internal optics,t-SA and t-HA between Tecnis group and AD APT-AO group,AR40e group were statistically significant. The differences of the SA of the internal optic,t-SA,t-HA between the Acrysof IQ group and AD APT-AO group,AR40e group were statistically significant. The differences of the coma of the internal optics between Tecnis group and ADAPT-AO group was statistically significant. The differences of the coma of the eye between the AR40e group and the Tecnis group was statistically significant When the aperture was 3mm,the difference of the MTF between AR40e group and the Acrysof IQ group was statistically significant when the spatial frequency was 10c/d, when spatial frequency were 15 c/d,20 c/d,25 c/d, the differences of the MTF between the Acrysof IQ group and ADAPT-AO group,AR40e group were statistically significant, and there were no differences among the 4 groups when spatial frequency were 5c/d and 30 c/d.When the aperture was 5mm, the differences between the Tecnis group and the ADAPT-AO group,AR40e group were statistically significant,and also significant between the Acrysof IQ group and the ADAPT-AO group,AR40e group when spatial frequency were 5 c/d,10 c/d,15 c/d,when the spatial frequency was 20c/d, the differences between Tecnis group and AR40e group was statistically significant,and also statistically significant between Acrysof IQ group and ADAPT-AO group,AR40e group when the spatial frequency was 20c/d. when the spatial frequency was 25c/d, the differences between Tecnis group and ADAPT-AO group,and the differences between Acrysof IQ group and ADAPT-AO group, AR40e group were statistically significant. the differences between Acrysof IQ group and ADAPT-AO group was statistically significant,but not statistically significant among the other groups when the spatial frequency was 30c/d.Conclusion Tecnis ZA9003 and Acrysof IQ aspheric IOL can effectively compensate for SA of the cornea,decrease the t-SA and the t-SA of the eye when the aperture was 3mm and 5mm; when the aperture was 3mm,comparing to the ADAPT-AO group and the AR40e group, the Tecnis group cannot improve the MTF significantly. The MTF of the Acrysof IQ group was better than the ADAPT-AO group and AR40e group when the spatial frequency were 10,15,20,25c/d. when the aperture was 5mm, The MTF of the Tecnis group was better than the ADAPT-AO group and AR40e group when the spatial frequency were 5,10,15c/d; but the MTF of the Acrysof IQ group was sinificantly improved,comparing to the ADAPT-AO group and AR40e group when the spatial frequency were 5,10,15,20,25c/d;the ADAPT-AO aspheric IOL can not compensate for SA of the cornea,and the SA,t-HA,and the coma were statistically the same between ADAPT-AO group and AR40e group when the aperture were 3mm and 5mm,but comparing to the Tecnis group,the coma of the internal optics in the ADAPT-AO group was smaller; Retain little positive SA of the eye may improve the MTF of the human eye in the middle and high spatial frequency;there was high consistensy of the aberration in the human eye and the aberation we expected in the early time after the cateract sugery.
