Objective: To compare and analyze the difference of risk factors and lipid metabolism in patients with premature coronary artery disease (PCAD) between the Uygur nationality and the Han people in Xinjiang. Methods: A total of 1094 patients diagnosed by coronary angiography (CAG) were divided into the Uygur nationality group (n = 313) and the Han people group (n =781) which separately were divided into three groups (young, aged, and control) according to age. Design the queationnaire to survey the risk factors and clinical manifestation of coronary lesions of PCAD between the Uygur nationality and the Han people in Xinjiang. Results: (1) Compared withPCAD group of the Han nationality, PACD patients of the Uygur nationality had significantly higher dyslipidemia and obesity rate, and significantly lower HDL level (P<0.05), significantly higher TG level (P<0.05), significantly higher TC/ HDL level (P<0.05), significantly higher LDL level (P<0.05), significantly higher LDL/ HDL level (P<0.05), significantly higher ApoB/ ApoAⅠlevel (P<0.05), significantly higher lipoprotein a level (P<0.05), while compared with CAD group: PACD patients of the Uygur nationality group had significantly fewer traditional risk factors (P<0.05), and except for the obesity rate ?CAD family history rate ?drinking rate ?smoking rate and LDL level, there are the same characteristics; Compared with CAD group: PACD patients of the Han nationality had significantly higer positive CAD family history rate (P<0.05), significantly higher drinking rate (P<0.05), significantly higher dyslipidemia rate, and had significantly higher smoking rate (P<0.05) in the Han people group; (2) Compared with PCAD group, the logistic results showed that positive CAD family history?smoking are Important risk factor for the development of PCAD in Han nationality. Beside of the above risks, dyslipidemia and lipoprotein a are Important risk factor for the development of PCAD in Uygur nationality; (3) The lesions of Uygurs′and hans′prematrue coronary artery disease (PCAD) patients are more lighter lesion of coronary artery as compared with non-PCAD (P<0.05). Although PACD patients of the Uygur nationality had significantly fewer traditional risk factors, the severity of coronary lesion had no diference. Conclusion: (1) The patients of Uygur nationality had more traditional risk factors. Compared with non-PCAD group and PCAD of the Han nationality, the PCAD patients had significantly higher dyslipidemia rate. Dyslipidemia might contribute to the development of PCAD of the Uygur nationality; (2)Lipoprotein a is one of risk factors for the development of PCAD; (3)There is a major role for as yet undetermined genetic and other susceptibility factors; (4)Compared with CAD group: the incidence of RCA in PACD patients of the Uygur nationality group was lower.
