Detection Of Blood Lipids Among Uygur And Han Nationalities In Xinjiang And Its Significance

Objective:To study the serum lipid levels and prevalence of lipid abnormalities in Uygur and Han nationalities(≥50years)in Xinjiang,and select high risk population. Methods:The participants were 2039 Uygur(men1003 and women 1036)and 2154 Han nationalities(men 1046 and women 1108),with the methods of random sample from Xinjiang of China,meanwhile,according to criterion to collect vein blood to measure blood TC,TG,HDL-C,to calculate LDL-C with numeration.Statistical analysis with SPSS software package.To take corresponding statistical methods according to characteristics of the documents.Results:(1)TC mean level was 4.86±1.08mmol/L and 4.66±0.94mmol/L(P＜0.05),HDL-C was 1.42±0.32 mmol/L and 1.44±0.28mmol/L (P＜0.05),LDL-C was 2.70±1.03mmol/L and 2.39±0.90mmol/L(P＜0.05),TG was 1.64±1.12mmol/L and 1.77±1.20mmol/L(P＜0.05)in Uygur and Han older people.(2) TC mean level was 4.71±1.07mmol/L and 5.01±1.07mmol/L(P＜0.05),HDL-C was 1.39±0.36mmol/L and 1.45±0.27mmol/L(P＜0.05),LDL-C was 2.59±1.01mmol/L and 2.80±1.03mmol/L(P＜0.05),TG was 1.59±1.17mmol/L and 1.69±1.07mmol/L(P＜0.05) in men and women of Uygur older people;TC mean level was 4.51±0.89mmol/L and 4.80±0.96mmol/L(P＜0.05),HDL-C was 1.41±0.28mmol/L and 1.47±0.28mmol/L (P＜0.05),LDL-C was 2.30±0.88mmol/L and 2.48±0.91mmol/L(P＜0.05),TG was 1.71±1.21mmol/L and 1.83±1.20mmol/L(P＜0.05)in men and women of Han older people.(3)Prevalence of TC abnormalities was 35.1%,24.9%(X~2=51.86,P＜0.05), LDL-C was 32.3%,18.7%(X~2=95.37,P＜0.05),TG was 30.8%,37.8%(X~2=22.37, P＜0.05),HDL-C was 8.4%,4.2%(X~2=32.40,P＜0.05)in Uygur and Han older people.(4) Prevalence of TC abnormalities was 31.7%,38.4%(X~2=10.08,P＜0.05),LDL-C was 29.8%,34.7%(X~2=5.69,P＜0.05),TG was 27.1%,34.5%(X~2=12.87,P＜0.05),HDL-C was 12.0%,5.0%(X~2=31.80,P＜0.05)in men and women of Uygur older people.Prevalence of TC abnormalities was18.3%,31.2%(X~2=48.34,P＜0.05),LDL-C was 15.5%,21.8% (X~2=13.88,P＜0.05),TG was 33.5%,41.9%(X~2=16.22,P＜0.05),HDL-C was 5.9%,2.5% (X~2=15.54,P＜0.05)in men and women of Han older people.Conclusion:(1)There are difference not only the level of serum lipdemia but also the prevalence rate of serum lipdemia abnormlity between Uygur and Han nationalities.(2)Compared with men,TC, HDL-C,LDL-C,TG standard on the higher level in women of both nationalities.
