| Objective:To explore the effect of Xinzhi Bimin capsule on the content of IL-13 in blood serum and in spleen and the express of STAT6 mRNA in nasal mucosa and in spleen of rat models with allergic rhinitis and identify the mechanism of pharmacodynamic action. Methods:Ovalbumin sensitized rats used as animal of AR were taken orally with Xinzhi Bimin capsule(2.3g/kg.d) and compared with BiYan kang (1.8g/kg.d),the different model rat established in AR and the normal control group,the expression of IL- 13 in blood serum and in spleen was detected in quantity by ELISA;the expression of positive cell of STAT6 mRNA in nasal mucosa and in spleen was detected in semi quantity by in situ hybridization(ISH). Results: The content of IL-13 in blood serum :and The content of IL-13 in model group was higer than experimental group and control group and normal group,( P <0.01).The content of IL-13 in blood serum of rats in the experimental group was lower than that in the model group,(p<0.05). the expression of the proportion of positive cell to STAT6 mRNA in nasal mucosa in model group was higer than experimental group and control group and normal group,( P <0.01), the expression of STAT6 mRNA in the experimental group was lower than that in the model group,(p<0.05). and The content of IL-13 and the expression of the proportion of positive cell to STAT6 mRNA in spleen of rats in the experimental group were markedly lower than the model group and the control group and normal group,( P <0.05). Conclusion: The result indicates that the capsule of Xinzhi Bimin can reduce the expression of STAT6 mRNA in nasal mucosa and in spleen of rats and down-regulate the content of IL-13 in serum and in spleen,and reduce the infiltration of EOS and then control the symptoms of AR in rats . |
