Objective: To explore the risk factors of postoperative arrhythmias after esophagectomy in elderly patients with esophageal carcinoma, as a basis for guiding clinical that prevent its occurrence targeted. Methods: A case-control study of 119 cases was conducted in postoperative arrhythmias after esophagectomy in 70 elderly patients with esophageal carcinoma from Jan. 2001 to Sep. 2009. Sex, smoke index, FEV1/FVC≤70%, Pre-operative complieations such as hypertention, coronary heart disease, lung diseases, the operative style, the site of anastomosis, duration of opration, postoperative hemorrhage, pre-operative kalemia less than 3.5 mmol/L, compared by Logistic Regression analysis. Results: Initial use of single-factor analysis noconditional logistic regression showed FEV1/FVC≤70%, Pre-operative complieations, the operative style and Pre-operative kalemia less than 3.5 mmol/L were statistically significant(P<0.05). Four dependable indicators of the above entry multifactor noconditional logistic regression analysis of factors combined with clinical,Calculated 2 factors, these factors which Pre-operative complieations and Pre-operative kalemia less than 3.5 mmol/L.were statistically significant(P<0.05). The mainly risk factors of postoperative arrhythmias identified Pre-operative complieations and Pre-operative kalemia less than 3.5 mmol/L. Conclusion: Abundant preoperative preparation should be performed for elderly patients with esophageal carcinoma. To prevent the occurrence of postoperative arrhythmias, acute treatment cardiopulmonary complications, improvement pre-operative cardiopulmonary function, Pre-operative quantum satis complementary kalemia.
