With increased globalization, modernity has become an unavoidable reality, modern culture and society has undergone major changes. Optimistic liberal describe these as complete advancement, while the pessimistic conservatives take it described as a recession. Well-known contemporary Canadian philosopher, thinker Charles·Taylor offers a new research approach-multiple modernity. Taylor made a rational diagnosis by reflection on the modernity of contemporary society. He described three malaise of modernity and he expatiated the rescue plan from the "recognition" of the angle. Taking the Marxism as the guiding ideology; applying the research method of combing the macro-research with the micro-research, history with logic and using the scientific contest method. This article has carried on the system explanation and research to Taylor's Modernity Theory.As the view of the traditional modernity, modern is equal to westernization. It is a single linear model, the modern cultural programs and the basic system of modern Europe will be accepted eventually. Charles Taylor gave a new meaning to modernity from a cultural point of distinction between the non-culture modernity and culture modernity-multiple modernity. But, with modernization, individualism and instrumental rationality's active spread unchecked. People's lives become more atomized, fragmented. However, Taylor did not lose confidence in modernity, he analyzed the malaise of modernity by the numbers. He thought the modern can Self-nurture critical force, dedicated to exploring a recognition of the political model for the modern road to seek salvation for themselves to find exit on dialogue and social life of human nature. In addition, we have gained some insight by Taylor's theory of modernity. China is in the key period of social transition, as the influence by the Western developed countries, many people doubt China's development direction. Charles Taylor's modern theory provided a strong theoretical basis to the development path of China. And the view of politics of recognition and reconstruction of cultural identity has an important meaning on China's democracy and the system of socialist core values.
