A Study Of Carlo Ginzburg's Views On Microhistory

Microhistory is the product of new history which has developed unceasingly since 1970s, it occupy a pivotal status in contemporary history. Carlo Ginzburg was honored as the the pioneer of microhistory, his historical thinking embodied in the study mainly on ordinary people,the witchcraft as well as the cultural history. In historical data he mainly focused on the records of inquisition and folk legends, manifested the diversification characteristic of microhistory in historical data utilization. Historical methods of using the unique "clues",the nomination as well as evidence-based paradigm and so on.
