Carlo Ginzburg was honored as the the pioneer of microhistory, his historical thinking embodied in the study mainly on ordinary people,the witchcraft as well as the cultural history. In historical data he mainly focused on the records of inquisition and folk legends, manifested the diversification characteristic of microhistory in historical data utilization. Historical methods of using the unique "clues",the nomination as well as evidence-based paradigm and so on. Carlo Ginzburg's historical thoughts has provides guidelines for the formation of microhistory in current historiography. His microhistory ideas provides us a more comprehensive understanding the thoughts of microhistory school and their methodology. The microhistory has the superiority which the macrohistory does not have, but the microhistory's microscopic analytic method has also received many criticisms and doubts.
