DING Ling is an authoress who experiences a lot in life with unique artistic styles in the history of Chinese literature. The paper, carried by DING Ling's fictions and started with the view of romanticism, explores the evidence and reasons of different clues on DING Ling, which get entangled and gambled from two aspects as DING Ling's ideology and her writings. On the one hand, no matter how the life or she changes, actually, DING Ling is a firm romanticist as "a moth darting into a flame which don't stop until dying". DING Ling's romantic nature runs through all stages of her life in complex ways and merges together into her productions. On the other hand, DING Ling's romanticism is repressed, and there are dual games in her text frames as antinomy, so multiple transformations can be found in DING Ling's artistic styles of writing. Based on the analyses above, the paper summarizes DING Ling's breakthroughs in life and literature, and shapes a new image of DING Ling. At the same time, the paper tentatively explores the meaning of DING Ling in the history of Chinese literature, and the enlightenment of researchs on DING Ling's fictions for nowadays.
