| Ding Ling is a distinctive novelist. From her early period to later, a great change took place in her novel creation: from female discourse to political discourse. Though such change, Ding Ling still had her concern, that's the concern about female existence and female fate. This is her unique special worth. However, the consequence of the change weakened the value of her works to different extend. The paper focuses on the reason of such change. The conclusion is fatalism, that's to say irreversibility. The paper includes two parts. The first part is Persistence. From the angle of discourse, it focuses on the analysis of text to emphasize the special value of Ding Ling's works. Meanwhile, by the contrast between the early and the later period, the paper points out the result of the change-the decline of the value of works. The second part is Fatalism, which is divided into S sections. Closely related to the first part, the second part discusses the reason of the change of her discourse and the decline of the value of the works. Based on this, the second part also makes explanation on the tragic fate of Ding Ling herself. Integrally, the S sections explain the above point from era background and individual. Concretely, the first section-The fatalness of the change of discourse-emphasizes on the philosophic reason; the second--The fatalness of literature-focuses on the analysis of the literary rule; the third-Up and down in fate-concerns about the study of Ding Ling's mentality. |
