"Shao", also known as "Xiao Shao", "Jiu Shao", "Shao Xiao", "Zhao", etc., is the music and dance opus of the Yu and Shun period. The influence of history and reality of Shao has beyond the value of the significance of the opus itself.This paper, based on the status of Shao Research, divides the history of Shao into four stages, which are ancient Shao, Qi Shao, meteorite Shao and modern Shao, and each stage correspond to each chapter of this paper. By the division of four stages, this paper tries to describe the characteristics and trends of every stage in the historical development of Shao. And by the In-depth analysis and comparison of the background, dance music volume appearance, connotations and characteristics ofShao in every period, this paper describes the differences of characteristics and connotations and the change reasons of Shao from different periods. In the final chapter, a number of ideas and suggestions are put forward to the complex scheduling work of Shao, will be put into practice in the future work, and weill be as a theoretical reference by the author of this paper.Ancient Shao is the first stage of the history of Shao, while it is the source of Shao.
