Finally the author concerns the self-salvation of religious of British works which refers to the motif of incest in theological significance, and then analyzes the function of Christianity that maintains the moral and spiritual salvation in Britain.In summary, as one of the oldest and most primitive motifs in literature, incest story in English literature, not only reflects the history of British society in all aspects but also lets us have a more complete and profound understanding of British society.
