It can be seen that the position of this kind of novel is pivotal from this. However, its special research is very few. Therefore, this paper will make researches and explorations focusing on the direction. Firstly, from the concept of this kind of novel, show the developments and changes in the Han-wei-six Dynasties,and the Tang, Song, Yuan, Ming,Qing Dynasties of every generation.And thus a complete development vein is combed. In this longitudinal comparison, the development history of Chinese ancient story of love between the human and ghost is drawed the outline of; Secondly,based on the determination of the concept and the outline of development vein, try to make comprehensive and systematical sorting and commentary of the text of story of love between the human and ghost in the Tang Dynasty, make the meticulous classification, and delimit specific subtype for them; Thirdly, using the text as the basis,from two aspects of plot Settings and artistic features, analyze creation tendency of the story of love between the human and ghost in the Tang Dynasty,involving role combination patterns, spatio-temporal mode, etc; Finally, starting from the text internal, Combining with external macro and complex background, make the discussion, discuss the humanism orientation implied in the story of love between the human and ghost in the Tang Dynasty. And unearth cultural connotation implied in this kind of novel by the use of the cultural interpretation and psychological analysis method.
