Research Of Love Poetry In Chiness Tang Dynasty

There were tremendous poetry creation concerning love and marriage in ancient China, though there was hardly any scientific study of love (exclusive of sex). Two climax of love poetry creation appeared before Tang Dynasty, during two periods Shi Jing and Chu Ci period and the period of Wei Jing Dynasties and South and North Dynasties. However, "authentic" love poetry creation literally existed in the Middle and Late Tang Dynasty.In this thesis, the author first presents the "authentic" standards of love poetry, and generalizes the two climax of love poetry creation before Tang Dynasty accordingly. Then the author discusses on the evaluation of the merits and demerits of love poetry creation in different periods of Tang Dynasty, focusing on the social and cultural background of literary creation and the psyche of the intellectuals. The author concludes that , authentic climax of love P C. existed before Middle Tang Dynasty with Yuan Bai as the opening and Late Tang Dynasty with Li Shang Yin as the most influential one, which lasted till Five Dynasties and Ten Kingdoms when Ci (A literary form) started to become popular and prosperous.
