"Blue and white"porcelain is one of the major specimen of China porcelain. It emerged from Tang dynasty, developed in Yuan Dynasty, reached its peak in Ming, Qing Dynasty. This article focuses on Yuan dynasty, classifies excavated Yuan dynasty"blue and white"porcelain in vessel shapes and motifs. All materials collected here are from archaeological reports in China before 2005.This article comprises of five parts.The first part is the preface, explain the terminology , the origin , the previous studies of Yuan"blue and white"porcelain, and the scope and range this paper covers.The second part is the first Chapter of the paper, It classifies all the excavated Yuan"blue and white"artifacts from site reports in China by the year of 2005.The third part is the second chapter of the paper. It classifies the excavated Yuan"blue and white"porcelain in the order of vessel shapes, jar, vase, pot, cup, bowl, plate, Gu, small cup for drinking, box, Yi, and status, It also points out the unique shape invented in Yuan dynasty.The fourth part is the third chapter of the paper. It describes the motifs of Yuan"blue and white"porcelain in the design of decoration and the materials used in the decoration.The fifth part is the conclusion. It summarizes the whole article on the survey of Yuan "blue and white"porcelain in vessel shapes and motifs.
