Facial motion beneficial effects has been verified by various experimental researches, however, the perceptual mechanism underlain this effect (i.e. How the facial dynamic information influences facial processing systems) remains unknown. Here, the author investigated this perceptual mechanism by employing Composite Paradigm and Facial Inversion Effect as the measurements of different facial processing system. The present research has used multi-frame facial pictures as the control materials against facial motion materials to test the effects of facial motion information. In addition to that, facial dynamic spatial information has been separated into 2D and 3D format to discover the mechanisms respectively. The present research includes two serials of experiments, Serial 1 (Expt.1 and 2) investigated the influences that 3D spatial dynamic information exerts on facial processing systems; Serial 2 (Expt.3 and 4) tested the impacts that 2D spatial dynamic information imposes on facial processing systems. The results is listed as below:(1) 3D spatial dynamic information would influence facial configural processing system, but not part-based processing system.(2) 3D spatial dynamic information might exert its influence via perceptual temporal association and attentional temporal orienting mechanism.(3) 2D spatial dynamic information would influence part-based processing system, but not facial configural processing system.(4) 2D spatial dynamic information might exert its influence via attentional spatial orienting mechanism.
