Western Literary Theories in the 20th century goes forward to the post-colonial theory, under the impact of globalization and upon the foundation of deconstructionism. Post-colonialism shoulder to prospect the historical responsibility of next era with the broader critical areas and more profound critical strategy."Other" as the theory of post-colonial point of criticism has been gradually given the broader cultural connotations. This article has selected two cases from Doris Lessing`s representative works to analyze in the view of theory of"Other". The definition of"Other"to be restrict with the eyes of the girl during the short story"This Was the Old Chief's Country", which be questioned from the girl's heart followed the touching with the old chief, deconstructed and re-examined by the dialogue of girl and old chief finally. The labeled"Other"Zaba Woo's perspective to show it in the process of the self–examination has continually broken up and reconstructed in the novella"Hunger", in the same time ,it has also stand for the various culture of the Black, hybridism ambiguity and uncertainty. End here,"Other"no longer appears as aphasia groups and will to be re-define on the basis of the foundation between the confrontation-integration with the"I", which has own sound premise, actually"Other"has already aware of the social status and responsibility for itself.
