A Study On The Relationship Between Modern Design And Painting

Painting is a kind of highly-refined essence of beauty and the beauty of the form which accumulates the contents. There are huge differences between modern designing and painting no matter in nature,function,and techniques of expression. However, the two have a close tie since they affect, learn and assimilate from one another.Painting is a very important source of inspiration for modern designing. As for modern designing,China has made tremendous achievements, but compared with developed countries, we still have some differences and problems in some aspects. The root is lack of the understanding of local cultural connotation and the internal assimilation and influence. Without the establishment in our mainland culture, we can hardly have excellent works. Thus, designing will be like the water without a source, and a tree without roots.This paper emphasizes the relationship between modern designing and painting. Through design works, the author attempts to apply the techniques,constitution, space and artistic conception of painting to modern designing,which enriches and enlarges the creative activity in the modern designing field.
