Wu'an plays a leading role in both economic power and cultural relic in Hebei Province. The total number of the cultural relic is over 2,000 in the Third National Relic Survey, which consolidates its status. In these cultural relics, the pavilions play an important role for their numbers, exteriors and histories. The pavilions of Wu'an represent their regional culture characters and architecture styles in Ming and Qing Dynasty.This article focuses on of the concept and basic elements of pavilion first, after that it describe the functions of pavilion. Thirdly, statistical analysis is arisen about the 179 pavilions from the regions, origin of the name, history, the forms and styles of the lower arches and the upper temples, inscriptions and horizontal inscribed boards. Lastly, it suggests some protective strategies to the present states and existing problems of Wu'an pavilions. In the article, the author employs a lot of examples, which can represent the traits and characters of Wu'an pavilions, and hopes that the study can contribute to the further research of Wu'an pavilions.
