This paper aimed to explore the relations of Fujian printing and literature in Song Dynasty. It contained three parts.First chapter focused on Fujian printing in Song Dynasty. This paper based on the prosperous printing industry in Song Dynasty, sorted out the origin of Fujian printing and its growing-up, mainly on the reasons for its prosperity. It held that blooming economy, abundant products, unique regional advantages and many advanced talents of printing industry contributed to the glory of Fujian printing.Second chapter discussed the relation of Fujian printing and literature talent fostering. In Fujian of Song Dynasty, there appeared a large number of outstanding people, besides people in political field and academic field, also many high quality literature talents. Many factors influenced the growth of talents, among which printing exerted great function. That was manifested from three aspects: Firstly, printing was of help to optimize the local cultural circumstances and promote cultural atmosphere. Secondly, printing provided rich learning materials. Thirdly, printing stimulated the production of literary works, thereby the local literary atmosphere.Third chapter studied the inclination for printing contents of government printing, commercial printing and personal printing, and the impact on local culture and literature. It held that although each of the three parts played a role in local literature and culture, government printing and commercial printing were not the main forces, many literature works were from personal printing. Fuzhou three religious texts by government printing intensified the Buddism atmosphere and the concepts of people. That was reflected by many works with a religious tint. Although printing houses in Fujian were not mainly on literature works, they issued a series of books by Su Dong-po remarkably. For one, people loved Su Dong-po and published his poets. For another, the printing act extends the impact of Su. That was manifested from the following aspects: Firstly, Su's noble personality was admired by local people. Secondly, Su's essays were extensively accepted, and that influenced people's literature concepts. Thirdly, many literature works were concerned about recalling Su and echoing his poets. Fourthly, other writers in Su's family were also respected by local people. Among literature books by personal printing, the use of allusion was common. That was rare in books by government printing and commercial printing. The books with allusion met the needs of testees for officials, and for its practicability, were also warmly welcomed by literary people and officials. Many literary people in Fujian who were good at the use of allusion benefited much from such printed works.The impact of printing on literature relied on the contents selection, but the form characters of books also worked. Fujian printing, creative in editing, printing and noting, easy for readers to accept, promoted the local literature development.
