In ancient Chinese literature, there are many Rebirth works. By studying the birth and travel of resurrection motif , we can clearly outline the history of Motif in classical literature. Also by studying the history of resurrection motif, we can reveal the relationship between aesthetic psychology and cultural psychology of a nation. The projection of appreciation of life in Chinese culture, and explore the contemporary spirit and the meaning of life in Chinese traditional culture. In addition, by comparing with the resurrection motif in western literature history, the paper elaborates the relationship between concepts of happiness and motif in Chinese and western culture.This paper focused on the resurrection motifs. First, trace the birth of resurrection motif, including the factors hidden in the ancient Chinese mythology as well as the resurrection stories in history. This paper argues that myth and history is the rudiment of resurrection motif which has a far-reaching effect on Rebirth works through ages. Second, the evolution and morphology of resurrection motif including full content of resurrection works, the improvement of artistic level, creation subject's attitude toward resurrection, the receiving group's reaction toward resurrection works. Revive motif in the history of Chinese classical literature, according to the forms, can be divided from many different angles. This paper divides it into six patterns from the angle of mode and three forms from rebirth subject. Also we can divide it into two forms from the angle of work connotation. Third, The Rebirth motif in Chinese classical literature experienced the rudiment of myth, the embryonic form of the history of biography, went through novels and operas. To the late Ming dynasty, it finally beards the flowers of rich arts - Tang's "Peony Pavilion." Fourth, the study of links between resurrection motif and Happiness in traditional Chinese culture. From the history of resurrection motif, most of the Rebirth works have a happy ending. Rebirth works with a happy ending still need to be re-considered. Rebirth motif is a projection of Happiness of traditional Chinese culture in the literature. Fifth, an overview of the resurrection motif in western literature history by comparing Rebirth motif and resurrection motif in order to find out the similarities and differences between them. The key point is the differences between them. The two main superficial differences are: First, most of the rebirth motifs in Chinese classical literature are related to the physical resurrection of hero/heroin, while the spirit resurrection in western literary history. However, there is a deep diversity hidden behind the surface. Rebirth motif embodies Chinese nation's understanding toward happiness. The expectations of happiness is the deep psychological roots that impulses continuous emergence of resurrection works in literary culture. Resurrection motif still contains a unique understanding of Western culture. The cultural psychological factor of rebirth motif is the pursuit and expectation of happiness in heaven.
