Homosexuality which is a human sexual orientation is also a kind of love. This thesis reviews Chinese gay culture and sorts out the development of Chinese gay films first. On the basis of those influential films, it researches the narrative method and narrative style of Chinese gay film from the angle of narration. In terms of narrative method, these films hide the gay culture in the elite and mainstream culture of early stage and the later exposure from the elite culture, penetrating into the commerce. It's the performance of social progress and cultural diversity. It is the special style of Chinese gay films that grafting with the opera, showing a gorgeous but desolate look. It's common for these films to perform the weak heart and complex characters. Dark and dreary, bright and clear, these two extremes expand the aesthetic space of gay films. The study on lesbian and gay film is no longer a theoretical blind spot, while this thesis tries hard to open another window of the Chinese gay film narration.
