During the Qian Jia period, the Qing Dynasty was becoming weaker and weaker with a breaking precariously political trend, an increasing decline of the economy, frequent conflicts, accompanied by the latent fortune shift. In a word, drastic changes have taken place in the academy. The debate between Han Dynasty and Song Dynasty struggled to evolve. The Chinese philology, the study on the discrimination of ancient apocryphal and the world of science gained and loss. There were many school of thoughts. Academy was popular with people just like a gorgeous picture. In this age and academic background, Cui Shu worked hard in the Textual Research on the ancient history of life. Brave suspect to seek the truth was well done by Cui Shu in the process of "Poems" study. Take " the book of songs "as an example, he often through the "wind" poems, expressed unique insights on how to identify the "Poems",learning retention of the Doubtful Case. To comply with Zhu Xi "Poetry" tradition, Cui Shu imposed the concept of deep-rooted traditional thought that "poetry" style should be with the warmth and sharp-tongued, being multi-concerned with the politics, ritual music tradition, the Confucian aesthetic philosophy.Family education helped Cui Shu and provided the ideological and theoretical foundation. However, this interpretation style also showed its limitations. Holding the attitude of seeking truth from facts, Cui Shu also objected Zhu Xi's opinions, especially being good at the perspective of interpretation of history. Classics and history were well connected to explain the "Book of Songs". Looking in the Qing Dynasty "Poetry" research, independent thinking theories seemed to be the tip of the iceberg as its achievement was very little. However, its "poetry" Learning lead the researchers'study from the literary perception, or from the perspective of history to explore its history, culture, customs and so on. The value of historical study was indeed extraordinary and should be paid much attention. Cui Shu's "Book of Songs" was permeated with literature, classical studies, history quality. He had gotten rid of the old side, but limited by sight and geographical constraints, there was difficult to establish new view. Besides, one's words could not be given rise by other scholars and wasn't widespread. In addition, Cui Shu's theory should be sent its impact on the old history school thought. Therefore, its academic spirit could be made a relative fair assessment.
