Analyzing the body scale, structure, material, joints and movement, etc, of different dolls, the children-shaped dolls can be divided into simulated infant dolls and exaggerated cartoon dolls, according to body scale. According to the material and structure, adult-shaped dolls also can be divided into ordinary joint dolls, ball joint dolls and cloth dolls.According to the difference of the doll body structure, functional design of two kinds of dolls dress are analyzed and summarized respectively, and compared with the design of children clothing and women clothing, manufacture craft and material influence the dolls costume function. Compared with the human's clothing, the function of clothing are similar in safety and moving adaptability. And the difference is that convenience of dolls'costume's wearing and the structures are closely related to the types of dolls and their consumer groups. The particularity of dolls costume function and structure lies in that the costumes'structure depends on the structure of dolls'joint. The comfort of clothing wear off depends on the experience of the one who play with dolls, rather than dolls themselves. Different body type dolls have varying consumer groups. Therefore the aesthetic standards of their costume are different. For doll costume's main function is adornment, the priority should be given to aesthetics.The characteristics of brand doll costume are summarized as follows. Firstly, doll costume is customized for the doll. Dolls costumes are particularly matched with dolls. Secondly, the sorts of clothing are very wide. Thirdly, the costumes are relatively independent of seasons. The style of costumes cannot follow the season of nature.
