As the "seventh art " films, it reappeard the subsistence activity and civilization process of human beings faithfully. It expresses people's dreams and desires. It was a distorting mirror in which people scaned themselves and the subjective ideology of the whole country or nation. Christian Mize (the France famous movie theoretician ) pointed out:the thing which people often called the film is actually one of wide and complicated socio-culture phenomenons in my view. It could help us to realize the multicultural theme of the social existence and the spirit of the contemporary people when we researching the vampire movie and discussing the rich and multi-level cultural connotation of the vampire images. It has some extent enlighten significance for us to dig the Chinese national culture and create the China's future movies.The vampire is a literature image that exists hundreds years. , given the deeply historical perspective and the practical significance in the Western culture. The vampire is a kind of evils , who also was a dead walker to abandon .It appears and disappears in night, drinks human's blood . Also it is an attractive,mystical,romantic fable character. As contradictory aggregate,it owns inconceivable charm :evil and conscience, eternal and death, brightness and darkness, hatred and love, price and obtained, the common custom and the edge, pretty and ugly, romantic and terrorist, sadistic and abuse.....In 1897, Irish writer Bram Stoker published his famous novel "Dracula". Since then, there is probably no such terrorist role as Dracula, who has such strong vitality and deeply rooted in people′s heart in the history ."Vampire"is generalized to a general adjective, Used to describe a certain impression of character or social class.Vampire image became the symbol of popular culture, from the vampire legends which the drama and musicals derived, and flooded the entire European continent. Every a few years in the 20th century,there will be a vampire image in the Europe films, the Hollywood also digged films about the vampire theme in-depth. So far,there are about one hundred and sixty films, in which Dracula played as a hero, and more than six hundred films involved Count Dracula. If the ancient legend of the vampire from the darkness of the original experience of existence, then the modern fascination with this image and has a kind of cultural and psychological significance?This thesis is made up of three parts , "Introduction", "text" and "conclusion" . The introduction of the test summarized basic characteristics of vampires according to the literature. The body is divided into two parts, the first part focuses on the prototype of the vampire sense and the problems we should pay attention to when we adapted Dracula from literary works to film production. The second part discussed the century-old Dracula image. This part is also the main part of this paper. It disscued the ideological and cultural value and commercial value of dracula image according to the different value requests of dracula image . Summarized dracula's image changes in all ages and the hidden relationships between the change and social ,political as well as economic, and people's thinking in chronological order . Including the intimate association between Dracula and the major disasters in human history such as the Great Depression, World War II, AIDS. and the influence on Dracula by modernism and postmodernism. The conclusion part of the study reaffirmed the significance of the vampire and summarized the results of this research.
