The language environment alway has an effect on teaching Chinese as a second language in Cantonese dialectal area. In allusion to this atmosphere, this paper focuses on new teaching pattern of "Da Hua Yu" under the multi-cultural structure, aims to point out the necessity and necessary conditions of Cantonese vocabulary teaching in teaching Chinese as a second language in Cantonese dialectal area. Based on the needs of the learner, this paper also divides Cantonese vocabulary into several categories, and thus probe into the related problems in teaching Chinese as a second language in Cantonese dialectal area. This paper divides Cantonese vocabulary into five categories:1. The Cantonese vocabulary which have integrated into Putonghua; 2.Daily expression of the Cantonese vocabulary; 3. Culture words of the Cantonese vocabulary; 4.Loanword of the Cantonese vocabulary; 5.Archaisms of the Cantonese vocabulary. Combined with the typical words and hands-on teaching experience, putting forward the teaching strategy about the Cantonese vocabulary is also presented in this paper. This strategy should be an aid to the related Cantonese vocabulary teaching in teaching Chinese as a second language in Cantonese dialectal area.
