| The World News was a newspaper which had the largest circulation in Peking in 1930's to 1940's. And this newspaper focused on news reports of education. It is a high value historical material. In this paper, World News in 1930's-1940's were chosen to be analyzed. That period was the time when Chinese female education developed. This paper analyzed image of female students in World News in 1930's-1940's. It is hoped that this paper would be a reference to the analysis of newspaper history and feminist communication.This paper can be divided into six parts. In the part Social background, Chinese political, economic, and cultural Social background were analyzed. The analysis part is the most important part of this paper. This paper extracted reports of female students in World News. It studied media images of female students'Physical exercises, daily lives, love, marriages and career choices. This paper analyzed how World News showed images of female students and the reason. It can be found that Xinhai Revolution and the May 4th Movement have somehow change the custom. It also can be found that there are many kinds of stereotypes of female in the reports of female students in World News. As the newspaper which had the largest circulation in Peking .World News also deeper the stereotypes of female. As a newspaper which had the largest circulation in Peking at that time, World News had a great impact on Chinese society. And this feature made World News spreading stereotypes of female students to the society.
