Infiltration Of Sculpture On The Yue Ware Mi Ce Ci

Southern Yue in ancient China is known as the mother of Celadon, the hometown of Celadon and one of the most influential kilns. She began in the late Eastern Han Dynasty, flourished in the Six Dynasties, Tang and Five Dynasties and Northern Song Dynasty, but declined in the late Northern Song Dynasty. She is located in Zhejiang Ningshao Plain. Mi Se Ci was born in the Tang and Five Dynasties and Northern Song Dynasty, which is the Yue Celadon masterpiece. In Yue's history, it went through five times, three of which period of development, but two of which period of decline. Mi Se Ci appeared in the developing period. So Mi Se Ci is the creative achievement, marking the highest level Yue Celadon.Why is everyone like Me Se Ci?The most of reasons is that Mi Se Ci is famous for its elegant shape and green glaze. From an artistic point of view, its beauty of art is reflected in the combination of exquisite sculpture and green glaze. Because it is translucent, Green glaze can make sculpture emerge, so that Mi Se Ci has become a harmonious combination consisting of exquisite sculpture techniques and green glaze. To this view, this paper, through a lot of relevant information and pictures, tried to discuss it. From these two aspects about sculpture techniques and green glaze, this paper aims directly at discussing four kinds of sculpture techniques, the characteristics of glaze and different effect which these sculpture techniques were used on the Me Se Ci by handicraftsmen. At the same time, this paper used a number of information and pictures to illustrate that translucent green glaze can make exquisite sculpture techniques emerge and maximize the beauty of the sculpture convey.
