In Catalogue of Imperial Collection of Four (short as "Catalogue"), the abstract of "Ming Anthology" includes much literature criticism. In other words, the final conclusive comment on Ming literature by Qing Dynasty's official academy is completed in this work. Historical conflicts and ethnic contradictions caused by the regime transformation of Ming and Qing had great influence on Qing official scholars' academic orientation in the field of criticism of Ming literature. How to manage the mass campaign of back-to-the-ancients in Ming literature, as well as the political ideology and cultural spirit of reconstructing the legendary "Three Dynasties" or following Han and Tang by its back, came to the Qing scholars as the first theoretic problem in the field of criticism of Ming literature. Thereafter, how to comment and position the "Qizi School" on forefront of the wave, became the key to the point. With the help of directed carding of Ming Anthology's abstract, and investigation of aspects forming Catalogue's criticism of the "Qizi School", we can reevaluate the comment system this work had built against Ming literature, which was strict but unfair. Moreover, it helps to clarify the complicated academic relationship between the system and Ming literature studies, so as to make specific efforts to remove those conceptual and methodological resistance long accumulated in this field. Therefore, this paper intends to expand its discussion by chapters introduced below: Chapter 1 promotes panoramic study of Catalogue's criticism of Ming back-to-the-ancients literature by analyzing the texts of Catalogue's criticism of the "Qizi School", review s the conceptual characteristics as well as limits of official academy of its criticism vision, and analyses the reason, loss, and necessity. Chapter 2 examines and compares the content with the original, so as to get a comprehensive knowledge of the documentary foundation of Catalogue's criticism of the "Qizi School", by which an objective understanding of accuracy and defects in its criticism is built. In this chapter, documentary research and literature criticism research are practically combined to study documentary foundations of Catalogue's criticism. Chapter 3 goes further in analysis of Catalogue's document handling. On the basis of examining the original, this chapter reconstructs the process forming the criticism system, the methods used, the attitudes reflected, the rules obeyed etc. in Catalogue. By these means, we can better understand and reflect the "Political Unconsciousness" of the Qing official academy, as well as its influence. Chapter four reflects on the influence and its necessity of Catalogue to the literature of Ming, reviews the academic endeavor of afterward scholars under the influence, recognizes the restriction of cognation, broadens space for discussion, and makes new efforts to reflect and explore its research methods and thinking models, etc.
