Huang Jie (1873-1935), was a famous poet, scholar and professor of modern China. He became a professor of Peking University in 1906, and he focused on the poetry studies of the Han & Jin Dynasty. The Annotation of Ruan Ji's Yong Huai Poems was not only one of the most important works of Huang Jie's, but also an academic book which played a connected role in the study of Ruan Ji's Yong Huai Poems. At the beginning, this thesis introduced the source and the formation of Huang Jie's views of Shi Jiao, and demonstrated the reason why he studied on the poems of the Han & Jin Dynasty was because they were significant illustrations of his views of Shi Jiao. Then, took The Annotation of Ruan Ji's Yong Huai Poems for example, the thesis analyzed the contents, the methods and the disadvantages of Huang Jie's annotation. At last, it evaluated the academic value and status of this works, from two angles----history of literary reception and history of academic study.
