The poems of Huang Tingjian are the typical style in the Song Dynasty, there are many treatise in this respect every year. But one aspect was neglected:many authors focus on the theories of Huang Tingjian while his poems themselves were not considered. Thus, one phenomenon is appearing, many theories and the examples were repeated again and again, but the reader didn’t found other different aspects in Huang Tingjian’s poems. That’s the reason why I tend to research the content of Huang Tingjian’s poems. In the first chapter,1discuss Huang Tingjian’s language and point out his particularity. The firs selection is discussed his special in terms of verse and poem, which the meanings are similar between his poems and other poets’poem. The second selection is discussed Huang Tingjian’s distinguish between Zhuangzi and Shi Shuo Xin Yu, and I point out he is agree with Xiaoyao in Zhuangzi more than wild behavior in Shi Shuo Xin Yu. Thus, there are many changes in his poems which relate to the allusions in Zhuangzi, and these poems are well done than the allusions in Shi Shuo Xin Yu. In Shi Shuo Xin Yu, Huang Tingjian can only use its words, not to use its thoughts to make sentences. The third selection is discussed Huang Tingjian’s construct in allusions, including "fermentation and Vinification","expect and adjust" and "overturn and rebuild". The fourth selection from the view of his thoughts and prosodic, providing a new explanation of "circuitousin" in Huang’s poems. In the second chapter, I discuss the style of his poems in which other researchers are not attention on, and there are many misreadings in some aspects by some researchers. The first selection is discussed the importance of group poems in his whole poems. The second selection is discussed the style of seven-character quatrain and pointed out the plain style is existence in his writing from beginning to end. The third selection is pointed out Huang’s contribution to the six-word poem, and discuss the mistaken idea which is held by some researcher. The fourth selection is discussed the importance of foreword in Huang’s poem, including its cognitive value and its literariness. In the third chapter, I discuss the anthology and annotation of Huang Tingjian’s poems. I have surveyed13ancient anthologies and6contemporary anthologies, and then point out the importance of inner poems in the view of select proportion and coverage fraction, negate the opinion that it shouldn’t distinguish the inner and outer poems, and at the same time, I point out seven-word poems is more popular among the seven-word poems. I choose the Seven-character-quatrain to discuss in the second chapter. In addition, comparing the ancient anthologies with the contemporary anthologies, I point out the contribution that the contemporary made in standing out the characteristics of Huang Tingjian’s poems, and analysis some preconceptions. In the aspect of annotation of Huang, collating and questioning of three scholiasts, I discuss the characteristics and the mien of the best scholiasts—Ren Yuan.
