Study on "Cosmopolite" of Thomas Paine thought which emerged from 80s last century was an important academic topic. His most famous work was common sense, which was wrote during the period of the independent war in North America; while another work rights of men, which produced in the time of French Revolution, was the essence of his thought. For a long time, academic world focused on Thomas Paine's political thought and his influence to the independent war in North America and French Revolution. In fact, Thomas Paine's thought had an important impact on the academic world of Britain as well as the radical movement in 18 century. His rights of man was called textbook by the working class of Britain. This thesis would discuss, from the origin of Thomas Paine's thought, the spread of Thomas Paine's thought in radical movement and the consistence between his thought and the radical idea in detail. What's more, the thesis would explain the influence of Thomas Paine's thought to the radical movement on that basis.This thesis was divided into five parts.The preface discussed the study situation of abroad and home, as well as the significance of the selection of the subject. The research on Thomas Paine's thought's influence to the radical movement was an important part of Thomas Paine's human rights thought. This research would not only enrich our understanding of Thomas Paine's human rights thought, but also bring enlightenment to our human rights construction.The first chapter introduced the origin of Thomas Paine's thought, from the aspect of personal experience, the influence of Britain's traditional thought, the influence of enlighten thought. Then, this chapter introduced Thomas Paine's main political thought in detail.The second chapter main introduced the situation of Britain's radical movement and the spread of rights of man in Britain. First, this chapter introduced the emergence, development and decline of Britain's radical movement. After then, this chapter introduced the spread of Thomas Paine's thought in radical movement.The third chapter discussed the influence of Thomas Paine's thought from the aspect of the similarity between Thomas Paine's thought and the thought in Britain's radical movement.The epilogue discussed the importance of Thomas Paine to Britain's radical movement in 18 century.
