Modern animation is an industry in the special function of cultural transmission. It plays an important role in inheriting the national culture and history. So our current social pay more and more attention to it. From the perspective of the whole world, in one way, United States and Japan are the two big countries of Animation. They use their excellent and rich animation resources to occupy Chinese animation market, implement their strategy of cultural output. In another way, due to lack of innovation and technological, Chinese domestic animation is always difficult to make a breakthrough, which causes reflection in the animation industry by professionals, researchers and enthusiasts. Although the animation is a growing research, and some universities set up a related subject to develop animation talent, but undeniably, the animation research is still defective, incomplete and without in-depth in general.Ancient myths and modern animation has natural links. As a treasure trove of literary and artistic creation, there is much resource that modern animation can learn from. Ancient Chinese mythology can provide inspiration for the development of the animation. Maybe we can see another window. In this paper, we start from the current situation of Chinese animation, focus on animated text and specific case analysis. We combine the ancient Chinese mythology and modern animation, dig in the cultural spirit of the interoperability between the two, and in a fit of artistic expression. The thesis is divided into four chapters to analyze. In the first chapter, we explain concept, scope, evolution of ancient Chinese mythology and modern animation. They have their commonality and compatibility in the cultural spirit, artistic expression and other aspects. In the second chapter, we detailed analysis the animation elements in ancient Chinese mythology. Using "fantasy" angle as the common characteristics, we explain the origin of fantasy, evolution, and using in animation. In the third chapter, we use "Artistic conception" as the pursuit of perspective to analysis the development process and characteristics of ancient culture in China and aesthetic history. Finally, the paper work to series of specific animated text of Hayao Miyazaki and do a great detail and in-depth deconstruction. In concluding:Fantasy and Artistic conception have natural links with ancient Chinese mythology. Both of them are essential elements of excellent modern animation. In the chapter four, from the animated story plot, characterization, thematic content and other aspects, we analyze the animation which theme is from the ancient Chinese mythology. Furthermore, through summarizing the successful experience of the adaptation of myth, we will note its factors which the animation creators can learn. The paper chooses the classic animation "Monkey King "to take structural decomposition, and try my best to provide a good template to realistic animation.
