Myth is called “the flaming dawn light of human civilization”. It is thehonest performance of primitive ancients rustic thoughts, the crystallization of theirwisdom,the source of the spirit of the human mind. Ancient Chinese mythology is theideological source of Chinas traditional culture. Such as the organic whole concept ofthe unity of heaven and man, the moral thoughts of valuing social despisingindividual or valuing human relations despising and so on in traditional culture, theirideological sources can be traced back to the Chinese ancient mythology. The uniqueideas of Chinese mythology reflect Chinese primitives mode of thinking, worldoutlook and outlook on life. And it has a profound impact on the development ofChinese traditional culture thought In this paper, the study of ancient Chinesemythology, neither verify the specific facts and research on the origin of gods bymyth information, nor deduce the fairy tales, retrospective the prototype in myth.That is grasping the thinking of education related to the mythology of ancient Chinain a macroscopic aspect. Therefore, from the view of education, this thesis intends toexplore the educational contents and ideas of Chinese mythology and emphasizevaluing its inherent educational value and importance.The article is divided into four chapters. The first chapter is introduction. Itmajor present the research problem and introduce the research of ancient Chinesemythology, and point out the significance of this study. The second chapter is thepart of theoretical arguments. Mythology is correlated with education, which will bediscussed in this thesis regarding to literature, philosophy, psychology and ethicsrespectively. Mythology is it is a vital strength of culture; a way of understanding theworld; it reflects men’s common psychological needs; and it is moral pursuit of truth,goodness and beauty. This further proved the possibility of myth from theperspective of education The third chapter focuses on the educational contents ofancient Chinese mythology. Starting from the angle of education and sums up somescattered in the classical literature in the myth of generally contains three aspects the contents of education: the rich world outlook, outlook on life, values; the richnational spirit connotation; simple moral concepts. The last chapter talks aboutpractical significance. It is most closely linked myth and education of children, themyth has a special value for children. First analyzes the reasons of myth is of specialvalue to children is interlinked myth thinking and childrens thinking. Secondlyelaborates our country ancient myths on childrens education value. The final analysisof the implementation way of myth for the education of children is the mainlanguage courses and other means such as the ideological and moral lessons, stories.
