American Historiography On Guomindang China

The history of Kuomindang China has been studied since later 1960s in American. Many excellent books has been published, and many scholars focus on this field. The work of historical materials of Kuomindang China also made some progress. American scholars usually use two means to get it done:one, general study on the political structure, economic system, social organ of Kuomindang China. two, the objects has been transfered from central government to province or county.There are some good reasons to study history of Kuomindang China in American. Like, it will be helpful to understanding the American Studies of Chinese through systemic research.And it will be useful for chinese scholars to get some new ideas from American scholars.Chapter one describes the American impressed by Nanjing government.Chapter two mainly describes the the study of Kuomindang China influenced by McCarthyism or China Lobby during 1950s and 1960s.Chapter three analyse the the rapid development of Kuomindang China study in American during 1970s and 1980s.At last, there wil be a brief outline of the new trend in this field in 21th century.
