It rooted among the working people and reflected their life and wishes.It is loved and belived by all the people. The legend has been lived for thousands of years.Now it has become into a large famouse story from a very short one. In the feudal society the story just wants to tell the men do not keep close to a woman. But now it is a very moved love story.And the people in the ancient story is just two or three,but mow it is developped into twenty even thirty people.With the development of the economy and the ideology,the characters of the people in the story have changed heavily.Espcially the Green Snake.It not only changed with the White snake,but aslo became the major star of the story.Among the stories which hold the Green Snake as the major part of the story,the whiter thinks that the text of Libihua"s《The Green Snake》is much representativeness and subvertive.Through all the stories of different times,we can divide them into two types.One is what the men ask for the women,that is to say what kind of women do the men like;The other one is what the women ask for the men or what kind of men do the women like. So this paper plans to start from the analysis of the Green Snake role to explain the social cuture.At the end,to find out the reason why her role was changed.And hope to offer some inspiration to the women.This paper divided into three parts.The first charpter discuss the two kinds of roles of the Green Snake.Or we can say the major role and the supporting role of Green Snake.During the period of supporting role of Green Snake we divided the Grenn Snake into the same kind to the White Snake and the different kind to the White Snake.And accord the versions have collected divided into three periods:the cruel bogey,half people and half bogey, great immortal.At the White Snake stories of the later stage,the Green Snake has become the major role which was the supporting role originally.As a result the function of her also changed. The Green Snake of this time is not a bogey any more,but she was not the one who did not think about herself at all and the one just serve for the White Snake.She is developping to a woman who will think about herself,as any one of us are common people.This period the Green Snake is the representative of us and has the characters of us,So we can has the same feeling with her.In ChapterⅡ,the paper just explore social culture and ethics what refract by the role of the Green Snake.The writer wants to through the analysis of the changing role of The Green Snake to explain the reasons.And then know what was held in esteem and what was persisted.And by which way.In the last part of this paper,We talk about something which causing by the changing of the Green Snake's role.From the changing we want to find out something to the women of toady and to the relationship of men-and-women.Other words,how the women to face their career and marriage.
