The drama is a broad and profound performing art, with its production, development and maturity, which precipitates some characteristic drama words and expressions. If we study these drama words and expressions, we can understand, appreciate this art better. Yuan zaju is in the transitional stage of the drama history. It appears to be very important to its development in Yuan Dynasty if we give a research in the words and expressions of Yuan zaju. Not only may fill the research blank in modern Chinese glossary research of the drama words and expressions, but also has certain reference function in the compilation of many dictionary books. Thirty Kinds of Plays of Yuan Dynasty is regarded as a reliable material in academic circles. If we chooses it to study, which can reflect the appearance of drama language of Yuan dynasty and has the meanings both in the lasted levels and the synchronic levels.The whole text is divided into three parts:The first part: The first chapter. Introduce the present research situation of drama words and expressions and the times, the content, the edition and the language aspects research of Thirty Kinds of Plays of Yuan Dynasty. It simply shows the research significance and the research goal of this paper.The second part: the second, third and fourth chapters. Character drama words is divided into four types and we give a research in chapter two and chapter three. Also we study its origin, evolution process and service condition. We seek their word meaning sources and the development veins in the other words which are divided into three types except the character drama words in chapter four.The third part: Conclusion. Summarize the characteristics of the word formation and the using in the character drama words in Thirty Kinds of Plays of Yuan Dynasty. From this research we find that those saving words in Thirty Kinds of Plays of Yuan Dynasty are colorful.
