Black pottery has a long history, is a landmark feature of Longshan culture, appears on the late Neolithic period, more than 4,500 years ago. Black pottery represented the highest level of the pottery industry. However, after the Han dynasty, making technology in China lost. In the 1980 of the 20th century, famous painter Wang Yiyang researched the black pottery, ultimate successed. In this case, Guantao black pottery began the industrial production process.Guantao Black pottery received high supports from the Government. Produced by the simple black pottery crafts developed into a clear division of complete local industry chain, and formed the black pottery industry cluster size. But folk arts and crafts became a modern industrial products. Black pottery making skills lose their authenticity, were damaged, and the loss variation.
