The Adjectives' Core Words Extracting And Researching From Xinhua Synonym Dictionary

There are lots of synonyms in the unusually rich Chinese vocabularies, in order to make selection better, compilation the dictionary becomes necessary. Lu Shuxiang has raised the modern sense of the synonym dictionary in1955. Zhang Zhiyi's Jian ming synonym dictionary is one of this synonym dictionaries which came out earlier. Following, Modern Chinese synonym dictionary that edited by Liu Shuxin came out soon, Taking Jianming synonym dictionary as the foundation, Zhang Zhiyi and Zhang Qingyun edited the Xinhua synonym dictionary, which have distinctive style and rich vocabularies. At the same time, it provided new samples for research the Chinese synonym dictionary.This paper is a comprehensive study on the basis of Xinhua synonym dictionary, selecting 49 synonym groups which have the same adjective morpheme. Take the Beijing University corpus as the backing, the core word theory and Meta-language theory as the instruction, we analysis with method of extracting core words which including synonymous to the release and corpus analysis. Then, we confirm it whit word synonym for The Word Forest and frequency statistics. We hope that through combination of theory and practice together, this paper can provide the valuable material to synonym special study,core word theory and special dictionaries .In addition, It also help us to make the vocabulary applications and Chinese language teaching better.According to the study, the paper is divided into four chapters: The first chapter is an introduction, explains the background of subjects and objects established. Firstly, from the microscopic perspective, it makes a complete investigation on Xinhua synonym dictionary, and continuously finds the valuable question. Then it combines with previous scholars'achievement, and ultimately determines the topic of the study. The second chapter is the theoretical summary and plays an important role in this paper. It is divided into three parts: core word theory, including the core element of the theory and language theory; core word extraction, including the convenient extraction of the core words (direct interpretation, transfer of interpretation) and analysis of key words extracted corpus; core words verification, including word synonym for The Word Forest, comparative and frequency statistics. The third chapter is practical application. This part is the subject of this thesis. It combines these theories with Xinhua synonym dictionary, synonyms in the group to extract and verify the core words of the word group. And it collates the results of the analysis, the statistics extraction, validation consistent cases, the remaining extraction. The validation inconsistency cases can be divided into different situations: the same word frequency, The Word Forest inconsistent; The Word Forest line, word frequency inconsistent; The Word Forest, word frequency are inconsistent. Chapter four discusses members for the word group. It is found in the core word extraction process to explore issues related mainly word ordering of group members and the number of columns. Finally, it makes a summary of the full text. The analysis and discussion of this paper are preliminary results. It is hoped that the scholars will kindly point out our errors.
