Kurdish Problem Influence On Diplomatic Relations Of Turkey After The Gulf War (1991-1998)

Kurdish problem of the Turkey is one of the long plagued the country's political and has a profound impact to the country's diplomatic relations. After the Gulf War, Turkey launched a military strike to the PKK several times, which in order to safeguard national sovereignty and territorial integrity. Even Turkey conflicts with the surrounding neighbors and major powers of some Western continue. This paper attempts to examine the interaction between Turkey's Kurdish problem and foreign relations in 1990s. In order to reveal the impact which national issues to Turkey's foreign relations. This paper mainly divided into the following three parts:In the Chapter one, traces the Kurdish issue and Turkey diplomatic relations. Briefly analyze the diplomatic activities that around the Kurdish problem with other countries since establishment of the Republic of Turkey. Detailed analysis the influence of the Kurdish problem in Turkey and Iraq and Iran, Syria, Russia and the European Union and United States foreign relations, obtained diplomatic relations with Turkey, the Kurdish issue is an important factor in the conclusion. Turkey in order to enhance international image and international reputation, must take the relevant countries to peaceful means to ultimately solve the troubling of the Kurdish problem for many years.In Chapter three, overall assess the Kurdish problem in Turkey's diplomatic relations.
