The sense of happiness, as important standards for measuring the living quality of an individual, gets more and more focus of the researchers. To create the conditions and guarantee them for school students has become the most urgent and vital topic for current educators. Current researches on junior middle school students'sense of happiness mainly focus on the phenomenon analysis, it's relevant influence factors. Nevertheless, there are few empirical studies about on this vital topic.This paper is made of two parts. The first part is a questionnaire study. Having applied the MHQ and SAQ, the author studied 340students from grade 6 to grade 9, which include investigating the middles school students'comprehensive senses of happiness, describe the phenomenon of their self acceptance. The paper also did the regression analysis and correlation analysis of students'senses of happiness and their self acceptance. The result of the study found that:1. 15%of the sample students showed a low sense of happiness. There is a significant difference of sense of happiness between different graders. The 7 graders are the least happy students.2. The level of self acceptance of junior middle school students shows significant difference on two dimensions. Students that are the members of class committee and students that enjoy a popular relationship tend to show a higher level of self acceptance.3. Students of higher sense happiness show significant difference from those of the lower sense happiness. Students that show lower sense of happiness tends to show a lower level of self acceptance.4. The level of self acceptance is positively related to the sense of happiness. Meanwhile, the paper proposed that for junior school students, knowing the level of their self acceptance can forward their sense of happiness to some extent.The second study is an empirical study. On the basis of the first study, the author picked some samples that show low level of self acceptance and low sense of happiness. Then the samples were divided into experimental group and control group on a random basis. The experimental group received group counseling by meditation and imagination which aims at increasing their self acceptance levels. The study found that:1. Mediation and imagination could effectively increase students'sense of happiness from a lower level to a higher level.2. By increasing students'level of self acceptance, the author effectively increased students level of sense so happiness.
